herbs, vitamins and minerals sure can do wonders for are bodies in the right amount can't they.
I think they are under valued as far as health goes sometimes specially since they can be sooo beneficial for us in the long run.

Kathy, these are some great suggestions...

I am glad that you out not to use Ginseng if you have high blood pressure, a friend was using it, it came in a multivitamin. The doctor was treating him for high bp, when he stopped using, though the BP was elevated..it did drop down.

Also,

One thing every one should know, is that you should always keep a list handy of everything you take. Many people do not realize that this list should include non-prescription medication as well as herbal drugs and I will also add here, recreational drugs.

If you go to an emergency room, if you don't have a list, just grab a plastic bag and put in all the bottles of everything that you use. Including as mentioned earlier, the over the counter and herbal drugs. If you have call an ambulance, give everything to the EMTs and paramedics, and tell them about anything else, such as recreational drugs that you use. They will NOT call the police, but they do need this information to treat you properly. Same thing at the emergency room, they need to know everything you are taking to treat you properly.
