Not sure how many aware of this but sure wish I could copy and paste it Hence I am going to shorten a lot LOL MOst of us use drier sheets in the drier Right? Try this when you clean your lint filter Take it to a sink and run hot water over it If the hot water sits on top and doesn;t run through you need to clean it Driet sheets cause a waxy film build up over the screen, this does not let the air pass through, so the heating unit over heats and burns up You cannot see the film but it is there This is what causes driers to catch fire WAsh lint filter with hot soapy water and an old toothbrush every 3 months Under heavy use more often Also extends teh life of the drier Now after all that since mine has been over heating and setting off the smoke alarm Going to check my filter LOL Just thought you all would be interested Wendy
