Why? Are you in this kind of relationship? =) Personally, i have nothing against this kind of relationship. So long as it is properly executed. I think we should first consider the status of both the student and the teacher. If you entered in this kind of relationship while the class is going on, i suggest that you stop it. Aside from being "immoral" (from the point of view "conservative" people), this will greatly affect the grade of the student no matter how hard the teacher tries to be unbiased. But if had the relationship at the end of the class, then i see nothing wrong there. I have a friend who used to be in this kind of situation. The relationship was very discreet and it took about year before she told me of the relationship (considering that i was her closest friend in school). What's good about this relationship is that both of them were matured enough to wait for the right time. =)

Well I dont think this is right at all. No person in any teaching position in any school should ever have any type of relationship with a student no matter or not the student is ok with it at all. Everyone would always be thinking the student is getting special help through assignments and so on.

It is absolutely not o.k. Even if both are adults, the teacher is in a power position, which influences the student's behavior and can easily take advantage of that power. The teacher is responsible for the safety of the student. It is the equivalent of incest. In the U.S. it is against the law, like incest.

Actually it depends on how you mean it. For example if you're saying that the student is not under or in anyway connected with the teacher in his/her class then I don't think it would be a problem.. But if both are connected presently then it would really become a big deal, it may cause some problems in the end that might left them both really down. In our school there are some teachers who's hitting on their students, in fact 2 of them are my teachers back then..

This is a really good topic! I myself don't really see a problem with it, but judging by the commotion that the media has made you could get into a lot of trouble if caught! Especially if you are underage the teacher could lose his job let alone go to jail! I guess if you were really keen on persuing a relationship with your teacher or know someone who is they need to think about what would happen if they got caught. If they decide to go along with it then I hope they keep it to themselves, for the teachers and their saftey! I hope our answers have helped!
