Why do psychiatrists say weird things to their patients?

My psychiatrist told me that my first name is spelled incorrectly. Why would a psychiatrist tell someone with problems that? It's not like I named myself. Does he think being saddled with a misspelled name is the cause of my misery? I mean I don't really like my doctors name either but I didn't say anything. Why do you think a doctor would even mention something so insignificant?

Haha! Yeah! As if we have a choice on what name we want. The psychiatrist should tell it to your parents. And are you really sure it's a psychiatrist? I think she's a professional when it comes to names. You know, like the feng shui experts but on the name thing. I haven't had any psychiatrist one-on-one session. But I have a friend who is a graduate of psychology. Are they the same? She also asks me weird questions? Sometimes she would draw and she will let me interpret her drawings.
