buying the right can catfood

With the recent scare and all the sick animal I have resorted to giving my cats straight dry cat food. I know you can make your own food for your cats but they are spoiled enough and I do enough cooking for the family..I am just wondering if anyone knows where I can get the list of all the companies that have had problems with the can cat food? and also if they have pinpointed it down to just one company yet? I will also be doing some checking and will post it also if I do come across it throughout my searching.

I don't all of the tainted foods were in pouches, not cans.

Fortunately I haven't had the worry of tainted pet foods, as my cat. Moomin, simply refuses to eat canned pet food. She will happily munch canned tuna and dried cat biscuits instead though. I will be interested to find out, however, which company is at fault.
