MyLot administration didnot specified in its terms and condition whether one can refer family members living in the same household or using the same IP address. But most paying sites disallow registration of people using the same home address and IP address. Because of this, I had refused to refer my daughter despite her great interest in join the myLot community but allowed her to tinker with my account. Now, I am violating any rules everytime I allow my daughter to come up with discussion which I later on post in myLot? I hope to get some enlightenment from other myLotians so I can straighten my ways before I become unforgivable.

No, I don't think you violated any rules. In fact, there was another discussion that stated that you can have all members of the household sign up for an account individually. You just can't post under each other's name. For example, if you and your daughter each have a Mylot account, you both can use it as long as you don't post under hers and she doesn't post under yours. As for referrals, I don't know if you can refer other people in your household or not.

I had recently allowed my daughter to post about the recent burglary in our house. The experience made her really scared. I thought letting her true feeling about it out in the public may help her overcome her fears. I had also left the commenting on the responses to her. I hope this is not a violation as the some users says.

I never read anywhere in the rules that you could not have two people with the same IP address . My daughter signed up under me on the other computer we have in the same house . She rarely ever gets on though but nothing was ever said about this so I assumed it was alright . I don't understand the whole IP address thing as we have two computers in the house now and are going to get a third one in a couple of weeks time as I would like one for my use and this one will go to my husband and we are giving the third one to our teenage daughters for their use . Many people today have more then one computer in there household but it still shows up as using the same IP address and I don't consider this fair as it is possible more then one person could be interested in doing the same thing online especially when it comes to games or wanting to make a little extra spending cash . Anyway I am not sure if what I did was wrong either but no one has said anything as of yet . Best of luck !!

Different computers have different IP address even if shared in the same household and same internet line. That's according to my cousin who owns an Internet cafe. He said that the IPs contains a series of number and the different computers using the same Internet connection or account has different ending numbers. I think myLot should address some important issues. They seem to prefer us reading between the lines instead of simply reading the lines when it comes to rules and payment computations. Nevertheless, I am now enjoying my stay here in myLot that's why I am afraid if I had commited any mistakes that may cost me my account.

I cannot see how you have broken rules to be honest...if it is different people for each account, what's the harm?
