|  who is the best guitar player? jimi hendrix or eric clapton. they both have great style of guitar playing. they both are awesome and legend but i like jimi hendrix more than eric clapton because of his playing style. who is your favourite guitar player?

clapton is third, making him the best LIVING guitar player
all 3 had very different styles
Santana, Vaughn, Cooder, Fahey, and many blues players are amazing too BB King , McDowell, Davis, Hopkins, James, White, Berry, etc.. Too many to name, many great bluegrass and reggae artists too | | | | | | |

| |  Of the two, I like Hendrix much more. But there are many better guitar players than these two.
My favorite, and one the the best guitarists, is Joe Satriani. Find some of his music. I think you will like him if you hear him. His style is very unique. Very complex. Give him a listen and let me know what you think.
Meanwhile, rock on with Hendrix. :)

| |  i like jimmy hendrix on heavy riffs. i like clapton with his acoustic riffs. personally, i like listening to instrumentals rather than full songs. it relaxes my mind and keeps me going. and my personal favorite 6-stringer is john petrucci. c",)
