Do you send your child to preschool? At what age did you send them?

When I worked at preschool, we had classes for kids as young as 2 1/2 years old. The class only lasted 2 hours,2 or 3 times a week, though and it was a great way for the kids to get used to being in the setting for real preschool that awaited them in the next year.

My daughter turned 3 in jan this year and we are sending her to a nursery since the last 15 days.I wish though that I could send her more than the minimum 3 days attendance a week. But if only it were not so expensive!

We are planning to send our daughter to preschool in the fall. She just turned three in Jan and the cutoff for school in NY is Decemeber and five year of age, so we figure that two years of preschool would be good for her.

My daughter was asking to go to school from the age of 2. When I was off pregnant with her sister I looked round a few different playgroups for her and as a treat for her let her go to playgroup 1 afternoon a week which she started just after she was 3. Once she was 4 she went to nursery for 2.5 hours a day every day. And started school just before she was 5.
