A thought-provoking movie that caught my attention as a Catholic. I think it's the most daring movie about the life story of Christ. I like it because of the "what-if" theme of the movie. Showing what will happen if Jesus got married and had a family of his own. Have you watched the movie? I just watched it a week ago at my Humanities class. I just made my movie review about it. A two-paged review actually.

Wow. You saw the movie in your Humanities Class? That is great. I remember when the movie came out and people were picketing the theaters. It was because of all the attention I saw the film. I liked it. It is refreshing to see a film about Christ that isn't the same as all the others. I liked the "what if" theme.

I also liked it because of it's theme, but the problem with that movie is that, you can see the real essence of the movie 45 minutes before it ends.

It's funny because I was thinking about this movie yesterday - it is very rarely shown on television - in fact I don't remember it ever being shown.
It has been ages since I saw this movie. I saw it on video about ten years ago. I am talking about the one starrting William Dafoe. I thought it was a very captivating and brilliant movie and much better than I was expecting. It was very thought provoking.
What did you think of it? I'd love to see your review.

I loved to share it here but i did it on our school and forgot to send it to my email since i printed it there. But if ever my professor will bring the printed copy of my review, i'll post it here. I agree it was very captivating though there are parts that i didn't like such as when jesus didn't recognized mother mary as her mother. It's weird since it wasn't written in the bible.

I haven't watched this movie although I've heard of it and been wanting to get a copy. I've read some reviews of this movie and most of them says it's really disturbing. I'm a Catholic too but not a regular church-goer. My faith is strong and I need not test it. Bottomline, I want to see the movie.

If that so, you really have to watch the movie. For me it wasn't disturbing at all. Although it was daring. It was just a mere fiction.
