I guess I am lucky that my wife is allergic to perfume. She won't get caught up in this scam, but it is still good to know!

I have not read about this scam but even if it is not a "known" scam, I would not go with them. Buying stuffs off the road from some dubious people just does not sit well with me.

Firstly you might be cheated. Secondly, can you even trust that perfume? What if it is made from inferior ingredients or banned substances? Such inferior perfumes might cause rashes or even death on the extreme end.

I would just... be real careful. Get sensitive things such as perfumes from reputable shops. :P

Wow! These criminals are just getting smarter and smarter in a stupid way! Thanks for letting us know this! I'll let all my friends and family know about it (I'm in the U.S. but I'm sure we have stupid guys trying this out here, to!) Thanks very much!

Thanks for this information, I had not heard about this yet. I don't wear perfume but I'm sure that wouldn't stop them from asking me! I would always be very wary of anyone hanging out in a parking lot, though. Too many weirdos out there. I will be sure to pass this one.

The dirty ,rotten scoundrels. I suppose it is easier to pick on females as a male might belt them up. They obviously are stupid as they can still rob someone with out knocking them out, A knife or gun will do it. I have sent a message to all my friends making them aware of this scam.

May be I will have a look due to my curiosity if you do not tell me. I think I should not trust any strangers,especially those try to offer you something.

I heard of this happening in the US several years ago. Same here, something I would fall for had I not gotten an e-mail warning against it. It's a sad state of the world, I used to talk to anyone anyplace but because of so many things like this happening I have started limiting my "socializing" to places were there are lots of people around and also keep a safe distance with strangers.

Alarm bells would ring in my head if I saw two men waiting for people in a car park. I'll tell my daughter to be careful,she loves perfumes.
I dont even talk to the charity campaigners in the high street anymore.
There was a documentary about market researchers who werent really and would ask people their details.
They did an experiment where a man asked different people for particulars and then he counted up how many had given him enough information to use their identity to steal from them. One man was even asked for his credit card pin number and told the man who wrote it down. They did tell everyone they asked that it was an experiment afterwards and how easily they had got their information from them.

oh thanks for letting me know, i havent seen this scam before, but luckily i have now, i be watching all people in the carpark even chicks lol just in case.
i like perfume to and if i think it would be at a cheap rate id probably go for it as well. lol... got me worried now

WOW, that sounds really scary! People were I live walk around selling oils and perfumes, and sometimes they really are rude and try to force you to smell them. Thanks so much for this post MsTickle, for you just opened my eyes a little more... I will pass this on to EVERYONE on my mailing list.
