How did I end up getting a tag for my discussion that I never put? Like my other discussion was about being an organ donor and someone put in one of my tags: "bodies: a universe within", which I never did put that. Did someone hack my account or was it mylot who did that?\

Oh thats strange...Oh! Do you know what i bet it is. Do you know that little box at the side of the screen? Well you can put tags in that without doing a post. I bet you wondering why someone would do that i belive the reason is that you get extra stars for just doing tags. Hope this helps!

When someone posts a comment they can add tags. Someone who commented must have added the tag.

Ram has given you a correct answer. Whenever someone responds to a discussion, they are asked to add tags. People sometimes add the strangest tags to a discussion. I try to always add a tag whenever I post a response.

Do we get credit for adding a tag though? So we don't get extra stars for putting a tag like the other person said?

I think you get credit for adding tags, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't think it adds to your star rating, though. Also, unless there are no tags added when you started the discussion, there is no box to add tags unless you make a comment or give a response.
