I would say that I relate best to "girl" in little earthquakes. Simply because sometimes I do feel like I've been living for everyone else

2.  Withoutwings (4692) | 3 years ago |  In the early part of my life I really related to "Silent All These Years". It just fits. I couldn't find my voice, and then I did. And my home life wasn't the greatest at that point, which kind of fits the beginning.

I too grew up in a rough environment where it wasn't safe to be seen or heard at times. "Silent All These Years" was a very healing song for me. My voice became even powerful because of it, though: I learned to speak through movement. And as Martha Graham says, "The body never lies."
Right now I really resonate with "Ribbons Undone" on The Beekeeper CD. I just graduated college and am remembering the childlike qualities of running with ribbons undone--yeay!
