the price of flat is so high  

Prices for flats and houses where I live in Portugal is also absurdly high. My husband and I bought a flat that was still in construction and will be ready soon, we've been waiting a year for it to be ready and during that time have been paying the interest to the bank, when we sign the contract we will start paying the whole ammount for 40 somthing years. Although we will be paying much more for the place in the end, with the interest, but it will be something that is ours, we could not afford it without the loan! We have been renting a flat for about three years, money has been going out and this flat will never be ours anyway, so we opted to go to an agency for help, they found us a flat that we could afford and helped us get the loan approved at the bank. We will be paying less for the new flat every month than we pay with the rent, so for us, it is worth it! Somtimes things don't seem to be worth it, but when we look at it in the long-run, it is worth it. I don't know what situation you're in now and I don't know how bank loans work where you are, those are all things you have to see and think hard about, look at it in the long-run.
