JLo refuses to sign autographs at music store that only promote Latin music. Her record company indicates that she will only visit Anglo retail outlets. Considering that she is Hispanic and her new CD is in Spanish. That seems a little strange to me. This chain of 50 stores she recently dissed is banning her music from their store. What is your take on this?

I don't know what her reason for this is. But she reaches a much wider audience than just Latino. Maybe she feels they will take it as she is being partial if she agrees to it. I don't think it will hurt her career or her finances if they ban her music, she's too popular.

It is strange because she is more Latin oriented in what she does with her music.

It sounds like a bad business decision to say the least. With such a huge Latino population in some U.S. cities, I would think she should be focused on promoting herself in that market. I don't know how popular she is with Hispanics, but I would think that it would make sense to include all posible market areas. I don't blame the chain of stores for banning her music.

I think there is a bit of coercion here, if she wanted to make her point in saying she doesn't want to give the one preference, because she sings both, then I think she has got it wrong. Those music stores are not going to change just because she doesn't want to sign autographs there.
