I realize that the food industry is just that -- an "industry" but I never realized how cruel it was. Here we are, we go to the supermarket and buy our beef and chicken all nicely wrapped up without taking a real thought about what we are buying. None of us realize how animals suffer for our consumption of that nice juicy steak, our thanksgiving turkey dinner and so forth. I came across these pages on the PETA website and they show videos that were taken by people with undercover cameras at your usual chicken and cattle farms and believe me it made me sick. It really wants me to go veggie. If you wish to go to these sites, click here http://www.goveg.com/factoryFarming_cows.asp http://www.goveg.com/factoryFarming_chickens.asp Warning: If you decide to watch the videos you need a strong stomach --these are very graphics videos of what goes on in the food producing industry.

I watched the first one but have seen the chicken one already. I've seen many of them in fact. I think it's just disgusting. It's all for the sake of the almighty dollar. It amazes me how many people are not aware of these practices.

I sometimes wonder which is crueler--how the food industry kills animals or hunters--I've never particularly been an advocate of hunters, but at least they only kill a few animals at a time

I already saw that video of PETA and it makes me stay away from KFC. I'm a vegitarian even before i saw that video. People need to know the truth behind meat processing. I let my children watch that video and whenever we pass by at KFC store they call it Kentucky Fried Crime.
