I realize that the food industry is just that -- an "industry" but I never realized how cruel it was. Here we are, we go to the supermarket and buy our beef and chicken all nicely wrapped up without taking a real thought about what we are buying. None of us realize how animals suffer for our consumption of that nice juicy steak, our thanksgiving turkey dinner and so forth. I came across these pages on the PETA website and they show videos that were taken by people with undercover cameras at your usual chicken and cattle farms and believe me it made me sick. It really wants me to go veggie.
