| 6. aso322 (72) | 2 years ago |  I think it can, depending on the couple. A lot of younger people have girlfriends/boyfriends online, but they've never met. They just speak online frequently. Personally, I don't consider that a valid relationship. How can you be dating someone you've never met? People's online personalities are usually very different from how they act in person.
If someone uses the internet to find a significant other, speak with for a while, and then meet in person, I consider that valid. Because you aren't using the internet to date the person, you're using it as a resource to find people you're compatible with.
