My 23rd anniversary is next week, so I'll be out of touch for a few days....

Hello to all of my MyLot friends. Next week is my 23rd anniversary (4/7) so I wanted to let you know I will be out of town & away from the computer for a few days, starting Wed (4/4).
We're going to Port Aransas, TX this year. I decided on something the hubby would enjoy this time. We're going to go saltwater fishing on a chartered fishing boat. We'll be staying in a condo right on the beach for a glorious 3 days. We hope to catch lots of fish & relax on the beach for a few days. Actually, I'll be relaxing on the beach, hubby intends to go surf fishing. :)
After that, it will be off to the in-laws to celebrate Easter with the rest of the family. Then I need to help out a friend that's in need of assistance, so I won't be back until sometime the following Monday (4/9).
Anyway, don't think I disappeared. I'm just on a mini vacation and need to give my friend some help for a few days. I will be back before you know it. :)
If there's anything you've been wanting to discuss with me, please feel free to do so now, you'll have me til late Tuesday night. Anything posted after that, I promise to get to when I'm back.
ps. anyone have a suggestion for a place to eat at in Port Aransas? Hubby has to take me out to dinner, but I haven't had the time to find a place yet. I welcome any personal recommendations or places to eat search engine suggestions.

Sounds like a great time...have a wonderful trip and take advantage of the beach time!!! It's the best..Happy anniversary..our 34th will be this year...time flies when you're having fun,eh? Wish I could recommend a good place to eat there..but am challenged by the geography..haven't been there so a blind shot in the dark just wouldn't do you much good!! Enjoy!

Thanks rx4life! Congrats on your years together too. :) It does fly by when you're having fun.
I'm terrible at geography! I like using anywho.com when I need to search for a specific business or type of business (ie restaurants) or looking up a phone number, but they don't have a way for people to give their opinion of the restaurant. I know I used to have a link to a site like that, but lost it when I changed computers. :(

I have checked the weather forcast... http://www.wunderground.com/US/TX/Port_Aransas.html I don't think I'll mind it being cloudy on Thursday. That's when we go out on the boat. Maybe the sun won't be quite so brutal on the eyes as it shines off the water. Maybe the weatherman will be wrong about the rest of the week.... hmm now I need to pack a little differerntly, lol...

Thank you Impervious! I am still enjoying it actually, lol. I can't wait to pick up my photos this afternoon. I'll be enjoying it all over again for the next few days too as I share some of my experiences in some of the discussions I've been preparing, with said photos attached, of course, lol. I'll have to put some pressure on my sister in law to email me the seagull photo I told you about too. :)

Thanks winky! roflol, talk about great minds thinking alike.... This is the site I used to find the condo we're staying in & the fishing boat we chartered. The list of restaurants is pretty comprehensive so maybe hubby & I can decide together based on the food served instead of personal recommendations.
Less than 2 days to go now... I'm getting so excited!

Thanks! It'll be good to have some fun in the sun and catch some fish for my deep freeze. I've run out of redfish, so I'm hoping we do well. :D
I'll be hard at work for the last two days though. I'm sure by the time I get back, I'll want to do nothing but sit in front of the computer for hours. Catching up is going to be fun!
Give me a shout if you need to switch to messenger. I'll be around til Tuesday, and can turn it on again if you had any problems or questions. ;D

wow 23 years that is great I hope that you and your hubby has alot of fun and congrats dont worry about anything here while you are gone we have it all under control you just enjoy your trip and we all will see you when you get back. bye,bye,ta,ta for now.

that's awesome. congrats for your anniversary, that's only 2 yrs from silver right? relax on the beach sounds better than typing on mylot hehe good for you ! We will only celebrate our 10th anniversary in 3 yrs from now so we're just saving just in case we want to go abroad to celebrate

Have a wonderful vacation!!! My husband and I have also been married 23 years. It will be 24 in August. The time sure does fly by, doesn't it? We want to go away somewhere special for our 25th anniversary but haven't really decided where yet. We've tossed around a few ideas but just haven't settled on any one thing yet.

Thanks & congrats too. :) Yes, it sure does go quickly! I can only hope to match or better my grandparents 52 years together. Hubby got lucky this year. NONE of the family believes I was the one who suggested going fishing this year, LOL. You wouldn't believe how much more involved he's been with the planning this time,LOL. ;D
