Does anyone self-publish? Please describe your experience and the company you self-published with. What are the least expensive self-publishing companies either online or offline? Thanks.

I am a Christian, a child of God, baptized into Christ on October 1, 1989 and I belong to the Church of Christ founded and headed by Christ as shown in Acts Chapter 2. I am given the gift of knowledge and understanding Bible Greek and I translate the Word of God from Greek to English PLAINLY - Greek word into its English equivalent with additional words for grammar purposes written in italics so that readers may delete them when they so desire. I have already published GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English), THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others shown at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin I have not spent even a single cent in publishing these. There are no set up fees. Authors are not even required to buy even a single copy of their books. In fact I have not seen any copy of any of my books as I have no money and I don't even have any credit card. Lulu does not interfer with the content. Write anything you want too. Choose the size there, book cover, you're free to set your royalty, etc. Copyright is automatically included there.

Wow, I didn't know that you had royalty control. I might have to look into Lulu.com as an option. Now, will they give you a website, or do they consider themselves the website? (that most self publishing authors need to even market their work)

You can self-publish with Lulu.com but I don't recommend it. A new law says every book must have an ISBN. You have to pay $100 to get one. Once you have one, you can publish your book on Lulu.com Of the other companies, I'd have to say iUniverse.com and AuthorHouse.com seem to be some of the best. They have connections with Barnes and Noble's online store.

YOU HAVE TO PAY $100 TO GET AN ISBN? Do you have experience self-publishing? What would you say is the estimated cost of a self-published novel?

I was speaking a lot with a rep from xlibris.com but their kits are pricey, but they're suppose to really help, but I just dont have that kind of money....

What's the average price that xlibris.com looks for for a particular novel? What kind of information exists in their kits?
