We have friends that attend our church and while the father is a type a personality, he is pushing this on his kids too. Both the boys are in hockey as is the older daughter (15)and her father seems to be pushing her in golf as well. She is tournaments all over the countryside. The month of March she was probably home a week. I can't help but wondering if she will resent her parents when she is older for pushing her too much. Sure her dad wants her to do well, we all want our kids to succeed, but still...

He def. should not push her a way she doesnt want to go. She might be doing this stuff for her father, even if she doesnt want to. But if she does want to do it he should still let her do it at her own pace. My dad supports my acting, and wants me to do it, but he never pushes me. He lets me to go at my own pace.
