To my friends, I am back from my vacation in Texas.

I just wanted to let all my friends and other members know that I am back from my trip. I see the changes that myLot made and it will take me some time to learn the new features and get adjusted so I could use your help. :-) I am still a bit disoriented after my vacation and plane ride. :-) It was a wonderful week with my brother, sister, sister in law, niece, nephew and stepson. We ate plenty of good food, went to parks, shops, saw a symphony done for children, went bowling and went a childs birthday party. I got to sleep on a waterbed for the week. :-) I got to meet their neighbors and worked out in a huge gym. Delaware is way behind as far as technology as well as state of the art athletic fields. We had horrible downpours and storms Thursday and Friday but the last couple of days were gorgeous. Grapevine, Texas is a very nice city. I definitely missed everyone here as well as here at home. Has anyone else visited Texas? What cities did you visit? What did you like or not like about it?

Welcome home!! Nice to have you back and so glad to hear that you had such a wonderful time too.
I have visited Texas. Several different cities as well. I first visited Texas in 1998 to visit Jason when he was in the Air Force there. We then traveled back there in January of 2006 to visit friends in Dallas and we also went back to San Antonio where Jason had been stationed. I love San Antonio, where in Texas were you?
We drove in 2006 from San Antonio to Baton Rouge from Baton Rouge to Dallas and from Dallas back to San Antonio. It was a alot of fun and we got to see a lot the countryside.

Thank you for the welcome back. It is nice to be back though I miss my family very much. I am thinking somewhere down the road I may move there but it will not be for a while. I was in Grapevine, Texas. It is near Dallas and Fort Worth. It is beautiful there and the homes are nice and most shops and other things are bigger and better than ours here.

Oh and we also drove down to Corpus Christi to the aquarium there. I so want to go back down that way to the coast area there and be able to stay longer and explore more then we had the chance to in that visit of 2006

I have visited Texas ..I spent a short time in Panhandle, Texas..Ken. What I recall about the state is that it's "flat" and dry and hot..
I think the changes here on mylot are really nice.
So since you brought up being home from vacation a couple times..I haven't noticed whether you brought all your friends a souvenir? What did you bring us?:)lol

It was not dry and hot while I was down there as it was cool the first few days and warmed up the last couple of days and had plenty of rain. I am starting to get used to the changes except for the profile part and a couple other things. Do we get credit for responding to news articles and blogs? I guess I will have to share the Armadillo droppings with everyone. LOL

Its great to see you back. I am glad that you had a wonderful time. I don't think you will have too much trouble with the new features. I am very resistant to change and I am handling it well.lol. No, I have never been to Texas,actually I have never been out of New York state. But my boyfriend has been there. His ex had family there and he went to visit but I don't know where.

lol ...i can feel the excitement in your voice about your vacation...so glad you had a wonderful time ...you deserveed it ...its nice to get away from it all isn't it ..anyways about all the changes oh my yes ...I am still trying to take it all in ...I can't even figure out how to edit my profile here now ...lol anyways it will be fun to do ...I know you will get it all ...so have fun while finding your way around the new mylot ...
BTW are you missing the waterbed ??? they are comfy to sleep on ...as long as the heater in them is working ...yikes

lol i got so wrapped up in your vacation that I forgaot to say yes i have . Austin ...saw Willei Nelson's concert to pay for his back taxes he owed ...I wouldn't want to live there though way to hot out there for me

Thank you for the welcome back greeting as I missed you too and everyone else here. I will have to get a laptop so the next time I go away I can access the internet at night before going to sleep. I will email you some pics when I get caught up on everything. I hate bills. LOL

I lived in Corpus Christi as a teenager and I have travelled all over Texas. I know Grapevine, Texas near Dallas and Fort Worth. It is one of my favorite places. I have been to so many cities in Texas, I wouldn't know where to start. I have lived in Lubbock where my ex graduated from Texas Tech (I didn't like the climate there). I don't think you could name too many cities that I haven't been in Texas. I like Tyler over in East Texas. San Antonio is really nice too. I like Houston, as well. Welcome back to myLot and the new changes. I am happy that you had a nice vacation.

Well once again welcome back Kgwat! I have never actually been to Texas but my brother and SIL live in Austin! We haven't seen each other for a few years now though as it is a long way to visit and very expensive to come from Australia! I'm glad you had a great time.

I used to live in San Antonio Texas, I just moved to Maryland in July. It is such a great state to live, I'm glad you like it. The storms that went through Texas were really bad, A whole lot of rain came in.

I live in Texas and really love it!! The bad thing is the humidity though, when it is hot it feels like you are going to die...hee hee.

I've never visited Texas but I've heard it's a wonderful place, though very hot.
I'd love to visit one day and just maybe I will.
I'm glad you had a wonderful vacation and that you enjoyed it. Rest and relaxation is always good for the soul.
I too am still trying to get used to the new Mylot lol. Everything is different and I've been struggling to adjust, but fingers crossed, I'm getting there now.
