Calling all guitarists email this discussion to a friend?

I have a two and a half year old son. I would like to introduce him to the guitar at the earliest possible time. Can you give me some opinions on what age that might be.
I would like to know at what age you started. Also, if you learned through a certain method (like Sazuki for example) would you recommend for it or against it.

Thanking you in advance for your responses.

The best way to expose him to guitar music is to get tapes of it and let him listen to it but even better is to play it for him and allow him to touch the strings and even try to pluck a string or two to make a sound. If you don't play then maybe a friend or family member does. If no one of your aquaintences or relatives play then its a good time to start a new hobby.

get one of those junior type of guitars and keep it ready for him. It's never too late to start though, I started at the age of 12 myself. Remember that he might not find it appealing at all and might not want to pick up that hobby, you can't force your children to become what you want them to, they'll make the decision themselves in the end.

What do you think about Frusciante guitar style?

John Frusciante's guitar style is excellent. He plays guitar with his heart. Listen to Under The Bridge and you will admit that his style was incredible, amazing.. He gives RHCP a new look in early...
