Intel Pentium or Intel Dual Core?  

i' using intel pentium 4 processor but i'm going to upgrade my system with intel dual core processor
because it performs the operations with a great speed
and it performs nearly 40% faster than the intel pentium processor

dual core is a lot better... just by its name you could tell its a lot better.. if you love multitasking then this is the processors for you...

core 2 duo from intel is the way to go!

all the other processors give a lot less performance!

core 2 duo will give you the most "bang for the buck"

amd is the way to go for verry low lvl computers.

First off, all the people talking about dual core, BOTH chips in question are dual core, so stop talking about that. As for which is faster, the Core 2 Duo is faster. But there are other things to think about. For example, DDR3 memory will be coming out this summer, which will mean if you want it, you will once again need a whole new motherboard. Plus, by then, the price of Core 2 Duo will have dropped a good amount. So this leaves you with two options, stick with your current motherboard and get the Pentium D now, and then upgrade after the new stuff comes out. Or, spend the extra money for the new motherboard and get the Core 2 Duo, and most likely forego upgrading to the new stuff this summer. Which of those options you choose is really up to you though, but I would personally recommend the first.

Iam using inteldualcore processor its working very much faster than my old intel PIV

Ok... here's my comment on this, Today i am using P4 2GHz and runs ok but if i have a buck then i will buy and upgrade it to Intel Dual Core.

will suggest the amd processor because i'm using this processor too.At first, I was afraid to choose amd x2 processor because I was using intel before this but after started using it and see all the benchmarks in the internet, I fell really lucky that I didn't choose pentium D because with AMD I can do multitasking and the speed its very fast.Furthermore, my computer is more stable by using amd compared to pentium D.Plz don't buy Pentium D because there is a problem with pentium D processor.Many pupil said that its not stable and have many problems.Its better to go for amd if you are normal user too even though you are not a gamer.I've started using amd and no problem occured at all and many people are choosing this processor because its cheap and stable.

Think Intel is better than AMD and the performance of Intel is far better than AMD.........
