1. Rosepetal (325) | 3 years ago | I don't know who you are, and I can't even imagine your pain, but I feel for you in your sorrow. I'm not a religious person, but I do feel there is a God. You may think that what I am about to tell you is just a bandaide, but I have found that reading the Bible gives comfort. No, I'm not a Jehovah's Witness, but I did open myself up to them and studied with them. Before that, I never read the Bible. Reading it has changed my life for the better. If you are open to it, consult with some Jehovah's Witnesses. They're warm and caring people who may be able to help you in some way. I wish you good health and many blessings.

2. Vacant (2322) | 3 years ago | I have watched several of my family members deal with cancer.. they fared better than you did though. I got as far as having a biopsy and getting the bad news.. I won't let it go any further, I am already here, longer than they tried to scare me into believeing I would be.. even without their barbaric treatments. I don't know how long I have, but after reading so many stories like yours, I would rather take the time I am given and accept that it is all I have. I am so sorry for what you have gone through.

3. not4me (1315) | 3 years ago | I can't possibly understand what it's like for you right now but literally, everyone in my family - both sides, including myself have either had cancer or died from it. Because of all of the loss and my own two "cured" forms (they were caught early and were never serious, so I've been told) I'm now completely fascinated in the scientific aspect of Oncology. When my husband gets back from Iraq I decided to switch career fields and start training to become a nurse, ultimately an oncology nurse so I can help others with their treatments and emotional needs.
As for you,I'm so sorry your wife left you. You didn't deserve to be left alone I'm sure. I hope you have a good circle of friends who have stuck by you. If not, I'm glad you've found online communities like this one to vent in.
If you are on a transplant list, look at it as a good thing - not only because your diseased tissue will be replaced but because doctors don't allow "lost causes" to receive donor organs. I've already taken courses with the Oncology Nursing Society and I know even being on the list is a good sign that there is indeed hope.
Maybe you could start a myspace page so people you meet online can rally around you and offer up words of support. It might give you something small to look forward to every day!
Best of luck and I hope better days are soon to come!
Tammy

I help people who have cancer to get over it all the time, and it is never easy. There's a presentation in California that might do you good - might even set your life on a better course. Would you like to check it out?

I had a friend die of Cancer and seeing what he went through just to try and add a little extra time to his life was horrific.
I'm sorry you're going through this. It doesn't seem fair. I'm praying for you, and I asked my angels to keep a watch over you during this terrible time.

10. mshogrider67 (516) | 3 years ago | I had cervical cancer and before that I had the best relationship, which has now ended after 15 years, not sure if it was all to blame on the cancer but before we were perfect together then i spent so much time have procedures done and feeling horrible and I guess it was just to much of a hassle for him. He did stay till the end but less then a year later he was gone.
