First, Savings being your food budget will be smaller. Second, you have the mix for what ever you need, no more quick trips to the market. Third, your family’s food will be healthier. Just like purchasing a commercial mix with directions on the package. You will need to have the directions to use the mixes that you make yourself. I have included some of the recipes to use with this mix. I have the rest of the recipes that go with it posted separately. All Purpose Convenience Mix 9 cups of flour 1 Tablespoon Salt 2 cups nonfat dry milk ¾ cup canola oil ¼ cup baking powder First, you will need to combine flour, dry milk, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir together. I mix mine in my kitchen aide mixer bowl, using my with my stand mixer to do all the mixing. It is always mixed well and of nice consistency. You can just use a large mixing bowl and a large spoon. Mix in oil until the mixture is smooth. Store in an airtight container. Refrigerate and use within a month or you can put into containers and freeze it. Makes 12 cups Recipes to use with this mix are in another discussion. Ok, I see what you are doing now and I guess I need my notepad open to see what you have shared before although I seem to remember none that was stored in the refrigerator. Thanks for sharing this information.

Here is the link for the recipes that go with this mix. This one is stored in the fridge because of the oil added. It is not just a dry mix like most that I have published. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/951270.aspx

I'm on my way over to look at the recipes. I have my notepad open to copy them down. I don't think my family will have a problem using this up within the month that it will keep in the refrigerator so I guess I won't need to worry about freezing it.
