EBAY! This kept my wife busy the 1st year and a half she stayed home. It was fun for awhile. She didn't made a ton of money but- a little helps. She found that she can switch from hobby to hobby.... Tried cooking- but boring. She tried reading some good self help books and improve her parenting, social skills, etc.She also got some audio books and listen to them as you do your chores. She Got a subscription to Family Fun magazine...it has tons of fun ideas to do with your family also online... ttp://familyfun.go.com/ What about you , care to share your opinion ( males can also share their view.)

I read, sew, paint (by the numbers to get yourself started), scupt, sing, dance, write, plant flowers. Oh and I work full time too. I wish I could stay home, because I would then work on developing my sewing business.

I have always enjoyed being creative with my hands. I enjoy making quilts, knitting, crocheting, woodwork, drawing, and a lot of other things that help pass the time when I'm not on the computer or working. Most of it gets sold afterwards, and the money is sent to charitable causes.

She is a stay at home mom and she needed to keep busy? I am a stay at home wife. I am very busy. I come here to relax. I do not have time for hobbies. You must be very easy on your wife. Are you by any chance scrubbing the floors for her?

Valid reasoning. My mom was a stay at home mom for quite a while and she never ever had time for herself. I wish I could make those years up to her because it meant the world to me to have her there.

I am also a stay home mom and what I do is I will do scrapbooking and my bestfriend taught me to crochet. If she dosnt know any one who can teach her there are plenty of books with picture illistrations to help you learn if you really want to. I bought one that came with a kit of crochet hooks and all kinds of things. Since New Years I have made 2 blankets and I am working on my third. I am planning on making blankets and then selling them on ebay.

I know a lot of stay at home moms love to do scrapbooking. It is a great way to capture memories in time and make them special. I don't do it myself, but my sister, mom, and several friends are crazy about it. Some of them work too, but they even have a scrapbooking club. You said she tried ebay, but I found www.half.com to be easier to sell things on. They are a company that is also owned by ebay. She's probably already tried it, but I thought I'd mention it. I didn't notice where you lived, but is there a PTA she could join? She might feel more involved with her children than she already does if she joined the PTA.

I used to sell on ebay too. It was fun going to the op shops and buying the bargains and getting stuff from friends to sell. It really wore me out and got too time consuming in the end. I would have to catch the bus with my 4yo to go the post office every day. Some buyers were real impatient too.

I do my eBay thing, it doesn't bring in a lot of money but i do it more because i enjoy it! I also pen pal - yep good old fashion, pen to paper & through the mail :) It's a lot of fun, i have quite a few pen pals so there's always mail coming in on most days, i also swap things with some of them, depending on what people collect - that helps to make it fun too! I'm thinking about getting in to card making - my Mum's just starting with it & she seems to really enjoy it so i might give it a shot & see how i go with it!

When my kids were small, I stayed home with them, and never had a chance to get bored. Most of my time was spent cooking or cleaning. In the summer I had a garden and canned a lot of tomatoes and beans. I had the kids help me pull weeds and I gave them some other little chores and when our work was done, I would take them to the beach.

I take a family walk daily with them, and i do at home crafts with my kids. Sometimes, some days are so hard and boring. Id tell her to try scrapbooking and at the same time it preserves your photos.

I also do Ebay, but I consider that more of a part-time business than a hobby because it takes a lot of work to keep it going to continue to make money on it. My real hobbies would be painting, crocheting, reading and exercising which I actually enjoy.

Good day to you my friend. ebay is good, cooking is fun. well frend, i do have two more to share with you. guess your wife is creative, like all female species are. Making Chocolates is a good hobby. Guess you can make her try. She can make money too. Also, she can try her hand at flowers. My guess is that she wants to try out an hobby that can earn revenue too. In that case, she can try flower decorations, bonsai, etc and eventually put up a flower boutique. Hope I have answered your question, my frend mike, the lil smiley devil

Oh, lucky are those mothers , who get to stay at home with their kids, look after them, very lucky. I think a house wife or stay at home mother can look for some good cooking sites, as kids love something new to eat, some good snack , some good juices. Infact she can learn some techniques to help her children learn faster and improve their I.Q. She can even choose for some good ways to make her children learn while they are playing.

I've been a stay-at-home mom for the last year and 3 months. I guess my main hobby right now is Ebay. I've been trying to make a go of it there, to try to supplement my husband's income, but really haven't been too successful. But I do keep trying. Some other, less stressful hobbies that I have are gardening and reading.

a garage sale would be super. i tried it once with my husband. we were amazed we made php 2,000 in one day with all the things we consider trash. truly, one man's garbage is another man's treasure. why not try to learn some musical instrument? im a stay at home mom too. at least for this summer. im planning to buy a drums set and learn it. it's never too late, i believe.
