There are many countries which are part of the gulf region and as the price of the dollar has continued to drop these countries are becoming to rethink and re-evaluate their stance on being linked to the dollar and having their own currencies. Eveb before the dollar started to drop many countries in the region were planning to make one united currency jsut like the euro. There will ofcourse be standards of enetry but with such a high amount oif natural resources like oil, if this is done correctly this currency may become extremely strong? Why do they care in the dollar becomes weak? because it becomes more expensive for the gulf region to buy asian/european goods and they have to sell for less so they loose in both fields, selling and buying. However, if they all do switch will this hurt the dollar even further? what will happen and do you think these countries should wait this issue out or make a move? cheers Plunt
