Traffic in Delhi

First I'm glad to see you are fine even if you fell down from your scooter.You know very well that I'm not from Delhi but I'm from the capital of my country...a big town with terrible traffic.Exactly at the center of the town is too hard you drive at the middle of the day.We have many small accidents every day and a lot big accidents too.A lot young people died from Motorcycles accidents in the town.You can sty alive from a car accident more easy but the Motorcycles are too dangerous.
Also there is no weekend without car accidents with dying people at the high way.Almost at each one high way car accident someone dies.

I am not from NCR Delhi. I can understand what you are saying. Glad that you are all right after the accident.

Personally, I feel hazardous traffic not only happens to Delhi, but also occurs in many countries. As long as there are people who drives, there is bound to be heavy traffic especially at peak hours.

For me, I would not drive and take public transport. This is because our public transport has special lane, and can avoid the jam. The other alternative is to walk. Walking is good for health too, and there is no human jam yet. Other measures is not for me to comment because it is not within my control:P

for the last ten years i have been living in delhi but traffic system has not yet improved. actually there is no parking system. everyone is free to park their vehicles on their wish. secondly, from other region lot of vehicles comes in delhi daily which cannot be stopped at any cost. thirdly, there is no penalty. fourthly, still there must be more flyovers for commuters to run frequently in delhi then we can meet our requirements. and last but not the least, we should curb corruption to implement strict traffic rules by the Delhi Police.

Yeah .. being a delhitie .. these are the common problems faced by us. But still Delhi rocks:) if we just ignore -- this traffic part. We are very much addicted to this traffic problem now so it becomes a habit .. Right:)

You are absolutely correct.Traffic situation in Delhi has worsened inspite of Better Roads,More Flyovers and widened roads.I don't think it is because the roads can't manage so much Traffic .But I think people's attitude is worsening day by day.
No one shows any patience.People honk horns unnecessarily.
A person on Scorpio feels irritated becoz a Maruti 800 overtook him!!
And many a times even Traffic Police people overlook the offenses.

And it is not only the fault of the much maligned Blue Line Buses;but every one is a culprit - Cars,Bikers,Scooters,Autos and even Rickshaw Pullers and Cyclists .
I have seen Rickshaw Pullers driving on wrong side of road with utterly disregard for their Riders or their own safety.
We sometimes even think they do this;so that If they are hit;they will get compensation money in return!!
I can go on as I am very much disgusted by the Traffic scene .
As for myself,I try to drive straight and within speed limit.And I do not care If others make joke of me for this .

Eventhough iam not a resident of delhi i an aware of this traffic problem.Even chennai is worst in traffic and we people know this quite well and hence we start an hour early and only then we can reach our destination in time crossing all traffic blocks, road divertion etc.,

I live in an area which is the big industrial estate and thousands of people commute from various places to this area.There were times were i have waited more than an hour in buses to cross a particular signal and vehicles queing in large numbers.Only now the govenment is building some flyovers in most parts of chennai..hope in recent years this traffic problem will be controlled to some extent.
