Can $$$ buy Happiness?

What do you think? Can $$$ buy happiness? I've always been told $$$ is the root of all evil and it can't buy happiness. With money or financial burden out of the way, we are not tie down by a job and can have more time to do the things we like to do without having to worry about bills! But without money, we would have limited choices. If money can't buy happiness, I'm sure i can 'rent' it, even for a short while.
