How well do you know your own children?

First off, we dont get into pushing or forcing our children to do anything, we do however encourage and support them in things they choose to do, as long as its reasonable and they're happy. They have neat friends, most of the time they're all hanging out at our house, playing pool, riding bikes just having fun, thats the norm in our house. Yea they have some common things of interest with us, Sports, camping, fishing, surfing, motorbikes, just to name a few. As for heart to heart talks, dinner time is usually the time where we get to hear all about how they spent there day. I think my family have strong communication lines, we make ourselves availiable to our children, anytime of day no matter where we are. I hope these strong lines we have never break or close off...

I try to make my house an attractive place to hang out, so I can keep an eye out on what kind of kids my daughter is hanging out with. I also, try to find out what she likes to do so we can spend time together. We do have some of the same interests but sometimes we don't, so we try to trade off on what we want to do.
