Can I cut up corn tortillas and bake or fry them to make chips?? I have a ton of the corn tortillas and don't know what to do with them all. Any ideas would be appreciated!!

No they don't really work to well, there are lots of things you can do, mexican pizza is one of my fav's basically it is a pizza with salsa instead of pizza sauce and ground beef and cheese, and alternative is a multi-layer one: Layer 1: Tortilla Layer 2: Refried Beens and cheese Layer 3: Tortilla Layer 4: Salsa and cheese Layer 5: Tortilla Layer 6: Ground beef and Cheese Bake it Slice it like a pie and enjoy, its very filling, you can also add some lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream to the top layer after baking for a nice variation too.

Wow, this sounds great. I love pizza and Mexican food, so putting them together in this way is really tasty. Thanks for the idea, I'll definitely want to try this. I love refried beans, cheese, tortillas, salsa, etc.

I really doubt that would work. I'd say they would just burn to a crisp. Have you tried nachos, totillas covered in chilli with lots of melted cheese and jalapenos peppers?

All you would need to do is heat some oil in a skillet until hot and then fry tortillas whole in there. When they turn a little brown, take them out and cool on a paper towel and then cut them in chip shaped triangles with a pair of clean kitchen shears. I knew someone who used to make them all the time. Yummy!

You can fry them and make elephant ears. Fry them in a deep fryer and then cinnamon and sugar them. Kids will love them.

Ive done it before. Cut them up, however big or small u want them to be. Put some oil in the frying pan, but not a lot were it just coats it. turn on medium heat. Add the tortillas and let them cook. But don't let them get browned, I say about 20 - 30 seconds per side. Lay them on a paper towel to cool off.

Most definetly you can! I do it all the time. What you do is cut the tortillas into any shape or size you prefer and lightly brush them with olive oil and dash on a little salt. I put mine in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Just keep an eye on them, so they don't get too brown. They are great and easy to make. Happy Cooking!
