If you are at a restaurant, do you make it a point to answer if you receive a call? Will you answer some but not others? Do you not answer at all?
I will answer for my family and VERY close friends, but that is it. Otherwise, I will wait until dinner is over and politely excuse myself to call back and find out what the caller wanted to talk about.
how about you?

People who usually call me on my cellphone call for a reason. It's usually an emergency, so yes I answer incoming calls, no matter where I am. I have a very discreet ringer, and I don't need to talk loudly on my cellphone, so I don't disturb other diners.

I don't like it when someone answers their cell phone while dining out. I feel it is rude. It usually interupts the dinner. I will only answer mine if it is my children and they know they are only to call me in case of an emergency. I even go far enough to constitute what an emergency consists of. They know if they interupt my dining out for no good reason they are in trouble. If anyone else calls, I don't answer.

Yes, I will only answer if it's my mom or sisters. But, I will get up and go to the bathroom or out the front door to talk. I hate it when people talk on the cell at the tables. i wouldn't mind too much except when you are in a restaurant that might be a little loud or something, you have to talk loud and I don't want to hear someone else's conversation. LOL So, I try to be respectful of others and I will answer, but get up and leave the table to talk.

I take my cell phone with me every where as I have children. When I'm out I turn my ringer off and put it on vibrate on the table when I'm dining. I'll only answer it if it's one of my kids. Anything else, other than an emergency is disrespectful to your dining companions and other diners.

No, I don't usually. The only exception I make to this, is if it's a babysitter or my parents who are babysitting while I am dining out, because it could be something important with my kids. But other than that I just push the reject button and let the calls go straight to voicemail, I can always deal with it later!
