Exactly there are 44 countries and 5 areas that are affected by the Euro Currency. And they are divided like this: - Official Members (13 countries and 320 million people) like Italy, France, Germany, Spain, etc. - Other European countries and territories using the Euro (6 countries/territories and 2.7 million people) like Andorra, Kosovo, Montenegro, Vatican City, etc. - European countries pegged to the Euro (9 countries and 31 million people) like Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania, etc. - African countries using the CFA Franc which is pegged to the Euro (14 countries and 110 million people) like Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Senegal, Togo, etc. - Pacific Island nations using the CFP Franc which is pegged to the Euro (3 nations part of France and 0.5 million people) which are French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Wallis & Futuna. - Other countries with currencies pegged to the Euro (3 countries and 35 million people) which are Cape Verde, Comoros and Morocco. And from January 1, 2008 Malta and Cyprus will become part of the Eurozone (the official Member States that have the Euro as their currency).
