I just found a pheasant relaxinging my windowsill. I live a couple stories up.

I just found a pheasant relaxing on my windowsill. I live a couple stories up. A pheasant is a fairly nice sized bird that you usually do not see flying that high. Anyone ever see a pheasant that high up? To me it is like seeing a chick flying lol. He either smells my cooking or is waiting for pizza.

Yes, they do fly high. I hunt them in the upper midwest in the fall. They are some beautiful birds. Very good adversaries as far as hunting goes.

I have never seen any fly around here. They are always walking. Even if you get close to them they just scurry rather than fly. Are your pheasants on speed? :)

I've never seen them flying so high. Usually they are close to the ground. Sometimes I'll see them in huge groups running around in the woods accross the street.
