how do i tell if switching jobs is the next step?

ive been in this company for 2yrs now..since the company started i was with it through every success,failure, and changes. the problem is , i still haven't been promoted to my desired post! although they keep me on the "important-people" list , i cant help but feel used and abused. is it time to leave this job and go somewhere else? or do i stick around and wait for "my chance" ? but then again.. what if my chance has long passed by?

Hi there..:) I guess you can tell to switch jobs if you're not happy with your job anymore and that you want something more.. 2 years a quite a time but I'm not sure whether that would be a long time for the company to see it. I think you can choose to talk to them and give them an offer to give you a raise or be promoted since you feel like you're doing a great job but if that didn't work out then I suggest you choose whether to stay or go for another job where the people in the company can really notice the good job you're doing..
