I am starting out on my journey to financial freedom. I define financial freedom as having a passive income more than sufficient to meet my present and future needs. The income has to be passive i.e. your day to day presence is not needed to 'look after' the income example (as defined by Robert Kiyosaki in Rich Dad, Poor Dad)examples are dividend income, royalty income, income from websites or business, which does not need day to day tending. The income has to be sufficient to take care of household expenses on a day to day basis and also for occasional expenses and small emergencies eg. journeys to neighbouring lands once in a while, dental work not covered by insurance.
