Did I hear that Kenny Rogers was suffering from Hypertitis?

I read in some magazine many years ago that this great king of country music was digonized with hypertitis? I would like to know how he is doing. I like the sweet country music that Kenny has prduced over the years, and he has had a great personal influence on my taste for country music. His duets with Dolly parton are just fantastic!
