Would You Go to a Beauty Product Review Site before Shopping?

Do you have the habit of doing your research on a beauty product (makeup, skincare, hair care) review site before your shopping? What features you think are most important for a beauty product review site? Would you participate in writing reviews on a beauty product review site?
(I am just curious as I have a beauty product review site and wish to do a little research here to see how I could improve it - thanks a lot!)

Yes, I do. It's important for me to know that the product I'll be using really works or at least, works for some people. I don't know about the features, I just hope that it's organized well so my I could search easily for the products I'm looking for. It should also have some sort of comparison for other products (in case that product is not so good) so that the visitors would have a choice on what product to buy. What's your site? Maybe I could visit it the next time I'm looking for something. :)

That's right! Clear search and categories are important. My site is http://www.beauty-tricks.com, You're most welcome there, but still it's too bad, not many people are writing their comments on products. I don't sell anything there, so it would be cool if everyone goes in and write when they have time, I am always hoping to make a honest site. :)

yes, yes, i always do that. before i bought my st. ives body wash, i read some reviews about it first. when i found out that it had some nice reviews, that's the time i bought the body wash. its better to know some background and comments about the product before you buy it. :)
