When I get upset~ which lately seems like alot of the time~ like most, I go to food as comfort~ I love eating! I almost feel addicted to food sometimes~

I just seem to forget what a diet is everytime i get around to a plate of free samples or when it's dessert time~

And everytime I eat something bad I'll feel disgusting and upset with myself that I let myself go like that~

somebody help me!?!?!?

Well there's two things. One is when your unhappy you deal with it by eating. Two is you love eating so it's a visious circle and it becomes a habit and maybe a part of you wants to fight so that you can have comfort food using anger as an excuse to do it to yourself. It might not be that but who knows better then yourself. So the addiction in this case could be an addiction to confrontation. How do you change that? You have to break the habit and your eating habits. So rather then eating how about drinking water or maybe going for a job to let off steam. Just something that's healthy. I think the main thing for you is that you know the problem and it bothers you don't underestimate that. So when your next unhappy do something else. I realise it's basic and easy to say but it's the only thing. For you it's the next step. Food is no longer a solution because you know that it's not doing you any good. If you wanted to ease yourself into it, maybe slowly cut back or eat only healthy things. It depends on how strong you are butI will say that often people are more capable then they think so if you think your not strong, think again and give yourself a proper chance to beat the cravings. Try drinking more water. If you increase your intake of water you will find that you will not be that hungry. It really works. Try it!

Actually, I can help you. Do this. Buy L-glutamine. I can't remember how much to take - I think about 2 grams a day. You may have to shop around to find it at a decent price. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and be DRAWN to the kitchen. It shouldn't take but a few days to work. Keep me updated.

I have to admit I wouldn't. Sometimes in life you have to try and help yourself and not rely on quick fixes. She could quite consieveibly become addicted to l-glutamine if she's an addictive personality. Who knows? Your situation is different in that you do sound addicted to eating at night - where as her situation was comfort eating
