An anecdote is told about a man who assured his friend, who was scared of a barking dog, with words from Confucius - that BARKING DOGS DON'T BITE. In reply, his scared friend said: "Yes, Confucius knows that, you and I know that, but, does the dog know that?"Yes, in our lives, there are situations, behaviour, practices, decisions that we make that need assurance, confidence, trust, or something to hold on to, before any unwanted results may had happened.
What particular assurances do you want ....?
before getting into - relationship? before marrying someone?
before buying something?
before joining an organization? a company? a group? or earning money programs online?
before going to a place?
before taking medicines prescribed by a doctor? or given by friends?
before choosing candidates during elections?
before signing a contract with an assurance or insurance company? or
and so on so forth..
Give me your personal experiences on this...

Before making a final commitment, it will be best if we do some investigating. Know the background of the guy or the company. The guy may be already married to somebody or is living in with someone, or he may have a kid or some kids already. He may be single and is without any commitment, but he comes from a family with questionable behavior and he loves the company of these kind of persons.
As for the insurance company, I will ask friends about their experiences with it. Those which attends to our needs fast and pays quick will surely have me for a client.
There are times though when we are forced to rely on our gut feel. If there is no one around whom we can consult, this is our last resort.

yeah. before jumping into conclusions, one has to conduct tests or trials to get reliable results. it's part of the scientific method that you can not resolve a problem or hypothesis without undergoing the so-called experimentation there's where assurance comes in. the findings or claims must be supported by evidences per se.

what assurance do i want. when ever i chose something i make sure it will not leave me in the mid way. it doesn't matter if its the best or not i just make sure they will not leave me in the middle of some thing.
talking of relationships, i hate friends who tent to leave me in the mid way. it doesn't matter if they understand me or not but they need to be good peaple by heart to gain my friendship.

i remember the marriage vows..."in the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promised to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live."
this should be the kind of assurance that each one needs not only in marriage but to any kind of relationships.
