Matthew 28 The Resurrection 1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." 8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me." The Guards' Report 11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13 telling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.' 14 If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." 15 So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day. The Great Commission 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Let us all remember the true reason for our celebration this day - and let us not forget what Jesus has told us, go forth and teach others of His word. May the joy of the Lord fill your hearts and your day, may any who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior find Him today.

Hi faith, how wonderful of you to share this with us. I like to share with you one of my favorite poem. Here it is: You are who you are for a reason. You're part of an intricate plan. You're a precious and perfect unique design, Called God's special woman and man. You look like you look for a reason. Only God made no mistake. He knit you together within the womb, You're just what he wanted to make. The parents you had were the ones he chose, And no matter how you feel, They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind, And they bear the master's seal. No, the trauma you faced was not easy, And God wept that it hurt you so; But it was allowed to shape your heart So that into his likeness you'd grow. You are who you are for a reason, You've been formed by the Master's rod. You are who you are, beloved, Because there is a God! The reason I share this poem is because I realize that a lot of people forget what Easter Sunday means. They are facing a lot of troubles in their lives but they didn't bother to spare a little of their time to say a prayer of gratitude for giving us His only son, Jesus Christ. This poem spoke a lot. In such so short of poem, it explained why we are all truly here on this Earth. This poem is written by Russel Kelfer and given to me by a Christian friend. I hope you like it. Happy Easter, faith.:)

I agree, this poem says it all. I've heard of Russel Kelfer before but can't for the life of me think where. Also agree too many people are so wrapped up in their own problems that they don't think about the important things in life. I thank God daily for all He has done for me - if I don't pray any other prayer I do that - thank God for my salvation and being in my life.

Happy Easter Faith,Isn't that beautiful? Today is the day we celebrate the the resurection of Jesus...I am so glad that i know that Jesus laid down his life so that we might be saved. He could have called 10 thousand angels but he willingly laid down his life for us.I cannot imagine those that do not believe, they have nothing to look forward to..Don't you wish you could have been there with Jesus,I do...That was so good that you put this discussion in today. It just gives me chills to think about it.I know these scriptures will bless us today.

Well, you caught me - doing a little evanglizing on myLot. The reason I put this discussion on yesterday was NOT to get a lot of responses or to make any money. My soul reason was to share "The Word" with others and praying that if only one person read it and it touched them in some way that they may seek God. We are so very blessed to know Christ the sad thing is there are so many people who do know what God says but still refuse to accept, I feel the most sorry for those people, and there are many in my own family.

Thank you for the Ressurection story from Matthew 28. Jesus is our Savior and we can be so grateful the He was willing to die that we may experience eternal life with Him!

A service on Good Friday as you know is very solemn. The difference on Easter Sunday is a wonderful feeling. To know that we will have everlasting life. Our easter service was quite high. Communion and the burning of incence. It was lovely! Hope you had a very blessed eater.

Yes I know this part of the bible it is very fulfilling and spiritful, to all christians that believes in the lord, and to know that us believers will one day be with the Lord, yes this is right we have to teach others about our heavenly father, and I pray that others will find Jesus today. God bless you byfaithonly and have a wonderful Easter.

I think that praying for other people to find salvation is the most important prayers we can pray and at the same time the most unselfish - they are not for ourselves but for others. It always makes me feel so humble when I think that the most important doesn't involve me but yet at some time I know there were others praying the same unselfish prayers for me. I am so thankful for those people even if I didn't know it at the time.
