I currently use a Fuji A500 digital camera. I get some reasonably good images, but can't manage to guarantee sharpness. It seems that when I use the flash, the pictures come out very clear, but are often too bright to fix on photoshop. I've messed around with the manual settings to try to increase the shutter speed, but very rarely get the same clarity of image with the flash turned off. Could anyone offer some tips to help get the most from my simple camera? By the way, What do you think of my 'Dandelions'?

Your picture is great. Surprisingly clear. Can you increase your ISO? At least to 100 so that it will be sort of balance with the surrounding light. If not, use the fill light but not the flash. Some cameras do have very bright flash which is a problem when we try to fix with editing software

thanks for the suggestion, i think I'll have a root through the manual and fiddle with the ISO and apperture tonight.
