Doctor almost made her lose her chance of adoption by wrongful diagnosis!

One of my best friends had recently found out that she can't have children. It was devastating for her. She and her husband will make wonderful parents. They decided to try to adopt, and in the meantime she started having some difficulty breathing. So she went to her family doctor who prescribed her some steroids for a chest cold. Over time the problem didn't go away and she was sent to a specialist. The specialist ran testing and diagnosed her with emphysema. She is 31 years old, needless to say they told her she would be unable to adopt. She was crushed once again, she couldn't believe it and decided to seek a second opinion. The second doctor ran same testing and said that nothing was wrong and was probably stress related. She started looking into why the previous doctor would have diagnosed her with something she didn't have and found out in order to be able to see her again he had to have a diagnosis. Because he was greedy he almost destroyed any chance she ever had of adopting a child. This should tell everyone that if you ever question any diagnosis always get a second opinion!
