How can some people get the privilege of having children?

I have posted about things of this nature before. I just don't understand how some women get chosen to have the miracle of life given to them! Babies are a gift from God, a wonderful blessing that should be treated as such! And, then, there are women like this lady who should have been sterile from the beginning. This is taken from a local news story here in Texas yesterday. Why did this lady feel the need to put her daughter in this much danger? This baby didn't have a chance! ALVARADO — A 9-month-old girl was killed Friday night when she was ejected from the sport utility vehicle her mother was driving while trying to flee authorities. Alexxus Riza was thrown from the SUV when it crashed into a concrete median and rolled several times under an Interstate 35 overpass, said Trooper Dub Gillum of the Texas Department of Public Safety. The driver had lost control of the vehicle and struck a traffic light before hitting the concrete barrier, DPS officials said. Her mother, Aimee Andrea Riza, 36, of Keene, sustained minor injuries. Riza faces manslaughter, evading arrest, resisting arrest and reckless driving charges, Gillum said. Authorities say it's unclear why Riza wouldn't stop when they tried to pull her over Friday evening. She had no warrants for her arrest, but authorities say she went on to lead them on a chase through two counties. A motorist had called the Somervell County Sheriff's Department to report a reckless driver on U.S. 67 near Glen Rose. When Riza refused to stop, deputies chased her toward Cleburne, Gillum said. Cleburne police officers, Johnson County sheriff's deputies and state troopers tailed the SUV, which traveled at speeds of up to 110 mph, Gillum said. Authorities used spikes, tried to block intersections ahead and backed off the SUV hoping it would slow down. But Riza continued to drive until she crashed, even traveling on the rims after the SUV's tires were deflated, Gillum said. "She was combative after the crash when they tried to extract her out of the vehicle," he said. "The officers had to wrestle her to get her under control." Alvarado is about 30 miles south of Fort Worth.

well, that just totally turned my stomach. I honestly don't understand how women like that are able to have children. Especially when there are so many women who can't even have children who would do a hell of a better job than that. I honestly think you should have to complete a screening process to have a child these days. too many children being neglected, abused, or just plain killed by the hand of their parents. My neighbors just had their 3 children taken away after literally chaining them in a room for 3 days. They were ages: 4,7,14. the 4 year old had to climb through a heater duct to get outside and then go and get help. People never cease to amaze me anymore.

That is such a sad story. It really angers me to read stories of people who don't take care of their children when there are others out there who want children and can't have them. I hope this woman goes to jail for a long time.
