My own case of road rage!!!

As I was driving away from the grocery store's parking lot today I stopped as pedestrians were crossing in front of me. A woman in what looked like a Grand Am was on the right a few feet away from me (at the end of her aisle) wanting to make a left. After the people crossed the woman in the Grand Am had the nerve to start going. I had the right of way as I was going straight (neither of us had stop signs). So, I honked my horn and she stopped...for a moment. Then without me giving her the go ahead she went and turned left ANYWAY as I was going too! So I stopped (and honked my horn AGAIN) as I didn't want an accident. Then she had the nerve to stop next to me, roll down her window and say I should have stopped, that I could have put on my brakes for her! WTF! Who does she think she is, GOD??? So I yelled back and said that I had the right-of-way! I ended up getting the heck out of there as this b*tch could have had a gun. Plus I had my 6 year old son with me, and I didn't want him seeing all this crap. This happened a couple of hours ago and I am still shook up from it. What would you have done in my situation?

I would have just let her go, obviously she was in a bigger hurry than you, and what did it take you or cost you, an extra 5-10 seconds? Was she wrong? Of course! Were you right? Yeah, but really, other than a little agravation, it didn't or shouldn't have efffected your day to any significant degree. I just don't understand road rage. There's too many other more pertinent things to worry about in life, than whether or not somebody cuts you off or takes your parking space. Just let it go!

I would have "let it go" if this woman would have just driven off. I honestly thought she was going to say sorry when she rolled down her window that's why I stuck around in the first place. I cannot stand it when someone yells at me when I know I am right, as I feel I need to defend myself whether I'm driving or somewhere else. I admit when I am wrong, like now (even though I did have the right-of-way), as I shouldn't have cared about her yelling to begin with.

If it was just me in the car I would have hit her just so she would get more angry at me! But since you had a kid in the car you did the right thing. I can't believe the nerve of some people I would have gotten mad at that also!

Hahaha! I could never do that, even though that would have been tempting! LOL I wish people that drive and don't know how to abide by the rules of the road would just stay off of it. It'd make it so much safer for those that do.

Usually when I figure out after a couple of tries to go, that they are not going to obey the traffic rules anyway, I just wave them on through. It saves me the aggravation of having to wait for them to get it over with. Do not let it get to you. You know who was right and who was wrong.

You know, I don't know if it is people are not taught correctly or they just pass people for their drivers license just to get them out of the way.. I have seen some driving that makes me wonder what cereal box-top they took their driving course from..lol
