Southern Gospel/Traditional Gospel Music

These are the two favorite types of music that I love to listen to. I can be going down the road and hear one a song on the radio that makes me feel close to shouting sometimes!! There are others that make me cry but most of them make me feel like I might just fly away! Do any of you like southern gospel or traditional gospel music? If you do what are some of the groups that like to listen to. Some of my favorites are: Crabb Family Brian Free and Assurance Tony Gore The Gold City Quartet There are so many that I love to hear that it would too long to list them all.

The Crabb family came and did a concert at one of the colleges I go to. I grew up on Gold City, Gaither Vocal Band, The Kingsmen, and the Talley's. I don't hear too much of them now days. I do miss that kind of music.

Oh Mercy Me! I love to hear those groups too. The Kingsmen are still singing I think but they have a different name. The Talleys are still singing too. We have a Christian radio station in our area called WBTG that plays these groups all the time. It is a shame the station isn't in your area!

It really is. We have Christian radio stations, but not Southern gospel : (
