I love grilled cheese sanwiches! Unfortunately, there is so much fat in them. The low fat grilled cheese sandwiches do not taste as good.

Like Krebstar I also always try to have a homestyle bake on hand. They are a great emergency, hot, fast and filling.
Other staples include:
Pizza dough (you can always whip up a pizza, calzone, or breadsticks)
Ramen noodles (the college staple)
eggs
canned soup
dry pasta
canned/frozen veggies

I always keep dry pasta on hand because even if there is nothing else, you can eat it with some butter.
I also keep around:
Homestyle Bakes
Instant Mashed Potatoes
Frozen veggies
canned soup
This way, no matter what, I can find something to eat.

I love ramen noodles. I just wish I could find some that aren't salty. I do not salt my food.

I have packets of instant noodle and some dried ingredients. Of course, sometimes, there are rice and dried vegetables. There are also cereal and beverages.

Rice and beans, also pasta. I can eat just plain pasta with a little butter or oil, salt and pepper and be happy.

With us it is pretty much the same, we love spaghetti, macaroni, and Basmati rice. And you will always find onions, tomatoes, garlic and mushroom in my house, we are never without it, and off course cheese, my husband is Netherlands so cheese we will never be without.

You'll always find rice, pasta and potatoes in our house and of course a couple of sauce mixes.
I can eat both rice and pasta, plain with no added ingrediants! although they always taste better with something on them!!
