Barney of HIMYM or Chandler of Friends???

I'm a fan of both shows but I just love Barney. He's the only funny character in the show, in my opinion. Neil Patrick Harris is such a good actor portraying a player when he's homosexual in real life. Chandler is funny, too, in his awkwardness, during the first part of the show but became a romantic in the latter half.

I have to go with Barney, too. He's just so good at being evil and enjoying every moment of it. It's hard to play a character with no redeeming social values and make him likable but he carries it off.

I dont think they're similar at all! For one, we do know what Barney does, he is a lawyer, and another he usually manages to pick up the chicks as opposed to Chandler.
I think they are both the funny though, not sure if I could pick who is funnier. I actually think marshall is the funniest out of the How I Met Your Mother cast

both are funny. chandlers was a more sarcastic humor which i like, but i think i prefer barney. but doesn't barney get a lot of girls in that show while chandler never got much? i think barney is very funny and i love the show.

Although I think that they're really different, I pick Chandler because his jokes are seriously crazy. I don't get them sometimes but I still laugh. And he's really really sweet. I like Barney too especially that he's legen---wait for it---dary! haha!

Chandler is funny, but Barney is more of a super hero. He is not the funnies in the How I Met Your Mother Cast. He is the outsider who happens to be good at everything he does. So I would say Chandler is funnier. But NPH Barney is a more entertaining character the way he runs a marathon with no training or goes on Price is Right and dominates.

i like barney a whole lot better than chandler! Chandler was more sarcastic than funny!! Barney is hilarious!!! Barney is lucky with the gals at the same time of being unlucky!! he is legend ...... ary!!!
