Timer tip

I have just been discussing forgetting that eggs are cooking and relating a story from when eggs exploded.
That doesn't happen nowadays, because I set an alarm on my mobile phone, and this ensures that I do not forget the cooking.
If you do not have an over timer, maybe that would work for you too.

Yup, if you burn boiled eggs you certainly know about it for a very long time to come or it costs you a fortune to replace the pan altogether. I don't have a timer on my stove so the mobile has to do.
I am getting better now though and burn less things.

Well, you are so like me it is untrue. We are looking for some special plugs at the moment, they are like a hollow tube and they go into the plug hole but if the water rises to a certain level it just goes down the tube and you can not flood the kitchen or bathroom. Well, ordinary mortals can't but knowing you and I . . .
If we track one down I shall let you know.
I agree that is a problem with the mobile phone and I don't like to put the mobile in my pocket etc due to the radiation. Maybe you could offer a reward for the children telling you the alarm had gone off?

Well while I am cooking I put the timer on for my eggs, so that it goes off my eggs are cooked so I do not have this problem with cooking eggs. Also I do have another gadget and it has salt in it you turn it over and when all the salt has gone down to the bottom of the gadget then the eggs are cooked.

I have a couple of those egg timers too and would would like to get some of the more elaborate Victorian ones for my collection. However, I get distracted and forget they are pouring through so I need something to remind me lol.
