who knows FTP?  

I know a little about it as File Transfer Protocol anyway while designing sites its very important as it is used to transfer the files from the desktops to the sites that we are hosting.

I dont see your purpose. You just want to download something ? Then you would get those links somewhere on the net and only you have to click those links, and as a downloader you dont have to know anything else. If you want to search ftp sites, there are tools on www.download.com that you can check.

i usually don't know about ftp, i have not ever tried to do it. but i know that is file transfer protocol *(ftp)* in which you can tranfer your file from the one loactionn to another location , so that anyone whoo need that file can yuse this files,.

There seems to be a point missed here...An FTP client needs to connect to an FTP server.... not another client. So, you'd need to upload your files (using FTP) to a host somewhere, so that the other person can then download them, the same way.

Here's a tip... check out ICQ, the IM package... it can handle very large file transfers, if you have a little patience and a stable connection. I've moved files larger than 100MB before now, quite successfully. It took a few hours but you can always leave it running overnight if you have to.

For smaller files, Yahoo IM works quite well
