Spam With Yahoo Email |
|
On an average day I get over 300 pieces of junk mail delivered to my bulk Yahoo mailbox. I had to admit that they do a great job of routing stuff.
My problem is this; adverts for the following companies NEVER go to the bulk email folder even AFTER I have marked them as spam and added them to my block list.
Netflix 800-Pet-Meds Winning Surveys Amazon.com GameFly TRW.com Ebay.com Affiliate Blockbuster.com
If I am blocking these companies and marking ALL of the emails as spam, why are they still going to my main folder? Is Yahoo overriding my settings? Are they getting paid by these companies to push the emails through?
The sad thing is that I don't have free Yahoo, I paid for a years service. If this keeps up that will be the last twenty dollars Yahoo ever sees from me.
Anyone else have this problem with Yahoo?

I even added the email that sent it to my block list manually and it still comes through. I have contacted Yahoo about this and haven't received a reply yet. They have 30 days to get this sorted or I am asking for a pro-rated refund.

3. oldboy46 (1756) | 3 years ago | This is why we stopped using yahoo ... they never seemed to get the message that we did not want the junk mail in either our inbox or the bulk mail folder. It might be that sometimes the sender is a little different .... xyz@ebay.com; then the next one is abc@ebay.com and so on. We were told that often these things have a slight change to the sender and this is confusing.
Send yahoo a message .... there must be a way to contact them ... and tell them strongly but politely that you are not happy with the service they are providing. Okay it is bad enough if you are using the free yahoo mail ... but ten times worse if you are actually paying for the service and they are still allowing what you thought was banned senders into your inbox or bulk mail folder.
That is too much junk for a week ... let alone a day and I would have sacked them by now. We have a few different email addresses ... one is for friends and family only; another for the business; one for competitions and things like that and the last one is for the forums. A few to check but on most we do miss out on getting heaps of unwanted junk.

4. KrauseHome (13453) | 3 years ago | In my personal opinion, YAHOO is one of the worst companies there are out there for Email. If I had my way I would not be with them, but I do like their Groups, and belong to quite a few of them myself, so I have to have an Email account with them.
But in all reality, why would anyone PAY for an Email provider when there are so many FREE ones out there. I personally Love Gmail way more than I have ever liked Yahoo. Yahoo must get paid from these companies like you were expressing, because I think personally, you can never get rid of the SPAM there.

freak369 (3482) | 3 years ago | I currently have 800 pieces of email in my bulk folder. I haven't cleaned it out since Sunday evening. I want to see exactly how much junk I can fit in there and then tell Yahoo to get stuffed. I went with the paid service for the perks and extra storage. I am in the process of getting a refund for the remaining time on the account.
